Yippee!!! I love free stuff, but I don't like cauliflower either! I have to REALLY doctor it up if I'm going to eat it. I think the only thing I like less is arugula, I HATE arugula.

Hey hey hey! Found you through home2k9 Alpha.

I do NOT like eggplant. I don't get it, at all. So tasteless and slimy when cooked. Ewwwww.

Hiya! I also found you through home2k9 Alpha.

Thanks for the giveaway ... hmmmm.... I hate mushrooms! Yuck!

I gotta say, all those who don't like arugula can send it over. I love a salad with kick!

I gotta agree with not liking eggplant. It's pretty though. I also don't like squash much and used to hide my Brussels sprouts in the plant next to the dinner table when I was little. (Since the dog wouldn't take them from me under the table either.)

I have found that I like veggies much more now that I cook them myself. Mama used to kill them on the stove and they just seemed so slimy when she was done. Sorry ma...

Good luck to everyone! If I win, send business cards because these are going in the winter gift baskets that I make for the family! :)

I don't do brussell sprouts. So I have only had them once, but that was totally enough for me. They tasted like I imagine sweaty gym socks would taste. The Army has a great way of taking anything that *might* be good and ruining it. Hiking? they call it a ruck march and you have to practicly run with a 65lb backpack and a rubber rifle. Skydiving? they call it Airborne and strap 85 lbs of gear on you and throw you out of a plane with 64 other people. Camping? they call it bivohuac and you have to stay up all night on guard duty to protect your unit from ???? lurking in the shadows. Like to work out? They call it getting smoked: you get yelled at over while sawdust sticks to your sweat. Anyway, I don't like Brussell Sprouts.

Collard greens and mustard greens. It just doesn't get any nastier than those! I would rather have a case of hemorrhoids than have to eat either of those veggies.

My veggie that I hate is: Black eyed peas.
They have such a distinct flavor, blah.

Green beans are sooooooooo gross!

I really hate cooked carrots, they're good in carrot cake but I hate them cooked.

Hmm, there really aren't many veggies I dislike. I used to say artichokes, but I had the best crunchy grilled artichokes the other day, so can't use that anymore! Hmm...black olives are not a favorite of mine.

I love all vegetables except, brussel sprouts.

brussel sprouts are pretty gross. They're mushy and a little bit of warm water seeps out when you take a bite. Granted; I only ate these once when I was little; but the experience was so gross I can still remember it.

Here's a secret: I haven't ever even tried eggplant or black eyed peas. Because I just KNOW those are going to be gross.

I LOVE canned green beans though. :)

hey, these aren't veggie flavored lip balms, are they?!

Stomping Grounds said...

okay i HATE brussel sprouts. they smell like blahhhhhh

my turn to win :)

I like mostly all vegetables. What I will not eat is "mixed vegetables" in a can. Frozen, yes, but from a can, my dogs won't even eat them!

always sunny said...

ha. no. they are NOT veggie flavored lip balms, however great question!
this list has made me want to do a few things. the first is immediately post my sprout recipe. the other is list the veggies that you have mentioned that i hate.

i HATE the frozen mixed veggies. when nathan and i started dating, his parents made those all the time. they taste exactly like that. a "frozen mixed bag". ick.
one of my very very favorites is green beans. sautee them up with some fresh garlic and a little soy...oooh man.

i actually don't like any canned veggies. all of my veggies are fresh and i really think that matters. i think they are just too mushy to eat.

i cant wait to get that sprout recipe up. that's the trick. call them 'sprouts'. its much cuter than the regular one.
wink.

nice work keep em' coming!

Broccoli, oh how I hate thee.

As an older teen I worked for a packing shed one summer. Living on the Central Coast of California, as I did, you see that it's very fertile land and a wonderful climate to grow many things. One thing that there is an abundance of is broccoli. I don't know how, but when I returned home from work each night, I smelled like broccoli juice from head to toe. The smell permeated everything. Ever since then, I cannot abide it.

You don't even have to work at the packing sheds to smell broccoli's particular funk in Santa Maria (pretty much known only for its Santa Maria Barbeque and the Michael Jackson trial...), as when it's been picked and the remains lie fallow, it gets tilled under, and the wind carries the smell of rotten broccoli.

BTW, your lip balms look yummy, and I love the simple design of them.

I absolutely hate green beans - any way and any time. Yuck!

Hmm.. there is not much I don't eat actually, in small portions, I'm fine with the most. I'm fine with cauliflower too :-)

But if I have to say something, then I say that a least favorite would probably be artichoke. It's a funny taste in it.

I'm writing you from sunny North Carolina but my feet are freezing. The only thing that could save me from this situation is one of your lip balms. I would love to hear from you and wonder if my dog Loulou could also get in on your products. Louanne

I can't stand carrots OR corn. I found you through Miss Sweet Petula who says your lip balms are the 'balm'..:)

I used to absolutely hate brussel sprouts but one night my BF made them and I realized, if cooked right, are great. So now, the only vegetable I can think of that I really don't like is eggplant. I'm sure there are other ones I haven't heard of but for now it's eggplant.

It's a toss up between cabbage and cauliflower. But since you've mentioned cauliflower already, I'll go with cabbage.

Pickles. I HATE pickles!
My sister knows this and so when I was a little girl, she shoved a pickle slice down my throat because I was "annoying" her. (she's 8 years older so that's just abuse!)

Hmmm let see one vegetable I really really dislike is..... cooked peas. I think its the weird texture/flavor they take on when they are cooked. I actually really like them raw, just not cooked! Weird huh!?
