they can be made in the length of your choice.
one below is the aqua quartz and the citrine.
a little bit of me and a little bit of sun. i could be happy all year round, if i just had a little bit of sun every single day.

dear kid rock,
since, i am sure you read this blog, i will try to keep my language to a respectable level.
i understand the need to make a cover song, i really do. many great covers have been done and i can say that some of them i enjoy even more in the newer state. HOWEVER...you don't get to just take a great song like 'sweet home alabama' and make it gay. this song needs NO help and i don't appreciate what you have done to it. i like some of your music, not all of it, but some of it is stomach- able. i ask you this: why? is it because you liked the song so much that you thought "hey, what this song need is me in a video of 20 naked girls and their boobies flailing all over the place?" not really the direction i personally would have taken this song...but i get your need for flailing boobies. now, i am going to give you a chance to rectify things. please call leonard skynard and apologize. he is waiting for your call. and i expected more from you.

'breakfast pizza'
thanks to scottie at work for making this for my tummy on tuesday morning.
i never opt for this sort of thing at work. i eat the same thing every single day.
1 hardboiled egg, a cup of strawberries and a piece of whole grain toast.
however this special day she made something so yummy, and all because we has some leftover garlic mashed potatoes. well guess what, now they have a purpose.
using about 2C of garlic mashed potatoes spread them about 1" thick on the bottom of a rectangular baking dish and bake until golden brown. this is the crust of this 'breakfast pizza'.

it is on every tv channel we have. wildfires. they are in spokane valley and taking homes down at a very rapid pace. it's weird they are so close. we are just 15 mn away. it is super sunny, and the wind is close to 60 mph. it's one of the weirdest weather combo's i have ever seen. a lumber supply company burned down today at about 1pm and it is still burning. that fire itself was enormous. its a 3-alarm fire and that alone had the spokane firefighters taxed. after a draining day of attempting to put that fire out, and draining all of their recourses, the wildfires in the valley started. the sky is hazy and the wind is just atrocious. it feels like we are having a hurricane. a large amount of people are being evacuated from their homes and people are reporting HUNDREDS of deer and wildlife running through their yards trying to get to a safe place.
here is what i just found online:
Monroe Street Closed due to Crash
The Spokane Police Traffic Unit is currently investigating a motorcycle crash on Monroe between Francis and Dalke.
Earlier, a motorcyclist was south on Monroe from Francis, when he ran into the back of another vehicle. The driver sustained life threatening injuries. At the same time, Spokane Fire and Spokane Police were attending a nearby fire and downed power lines. Four garages were on fire in the 6100 block of North Monroe and North Lincoln.
Investigators expect Monroe to be closed, both north and south, for the next several hours. citizen's are encouraged to use an alternate route.
*we are just 2 blocks from Monroe.

lanna attended her *first baseball game. she had a blast. we saw the spokane indians in the spokane fairgrounds, in the stadium. it was quite festive for the holiday. this particular show is always a hit as they are known for their fireworks show. i have never been a fan of fireworks and always avoid the 'shows' but it was so much fun to see the look on her face. she got a pink baseball and a pennant and thinks she is a part of the team now. that is the part that confused her. why can't she go down there and throw her ball to them? she had one, so did they...the "MUD WAS RIGHT THERE", all the elements were there and yet, she was not allowed on the field.
it was neat, after nearly every inning a air force would fly over a craft and they would show off for the crowd. otto, the mascot, was there in full force doing tricks and egging on the red white and blue crowd. happy 4th! we hope everyone had a lovely day.
*her first game was a mariners game, but she was 4 months old and has no idea she was there

i like a few things that we have done with lanna. for instance, she loves to go to bed and take naps. we have never used bedtime as a tool for bad behavior. when she lays down we talk about how wonderful her bed is and how comfortable her pillow feels and how her sheets are so much cooler than ours are. she eats whatever we eat, and i rarely have to make those extra 'kid type dinners' (although i like to) because she would much rather eat exactly what we eat. if we have something that she cant eat, we do make her those kidalicious meals and she is just fine with it. she feels very special to have a side of yogurt with her meal. she will sit there and giggle about how she got the yogurt and somehow the yogurt fairy missed her parents and she was the only one who noticed. same thing with cottage cheese. she will dip anything you hand her in cottage cheese. yes, even my camera. i do not credit this to her being 'super flexible' as much as this is just the option that we gave her. we never introduced the mac and cheese, the hot dog, the PB&J until just recently. i hoped that she could adjust and like food that we eat as well as the food that she would later be introduced to. lucky for me, this worked. not all kids will abide by this however, i just feel fortunate that she did. i had to do it, because who else is going to sit down and eat a whole wheel of brie with me and make fun of me?
a few nights ago i needed a dinner idea as my menu was at it's end. i asked her what she woudl like to eat for dinner and she replied "salad". nathan says, wow, that must have brought a tear to your eye just now..." and yes, it actually did. the kid loves onions. ONIONS. can you believe that? it's important when introducing any foods, or in just general food talk to never add any "yucks, ew's or grosses". just keep them to yourself. if you plant that in their head that something is gross at such an early age, they may never like something their whole lives that could be so good for them, and they may have loved otherwise. their taste buds are barely developed and they can tell right away when they don't like something, and they don't need the added encouragement. its perfectly fine not to like something, and i notice a lot of kids here and there that don't like something because mom has said it's gross. sadly little jimmy will never try green beans. oh well, his loss. more for me. this is definitely not something that we could have just now started. she is too smart for that. she like what she sees me eating and i just tried my best at an early age to be eating what i wished that she would. if they start eating veggies regularly before they can form opinions, chances are it will be too late to be "gross" by age 3 or 4. age 5...well, they will be tricking you full speed ahead by then.
on to the weird part. we have...i hate to say we "tricked" her, but we totally tricked her. she thinks carrots and ranch are a dirty little treat that only good girls get, she thinks that cucumber slices are 'magical pickles' that give you power, and she thinks nutragrain bars are 'cake'. now, she knows what real cake is, so relax. but a nutragrain, whew. that is special cake. when she goes to bed she asks for a "creamsicle vitamin" - that's a tums. i could go on and on, but i won't. if she ever asks you how many green beans she needs to eat to be tall enough to someday be 'let into disneyland', the answer is "a whole lot more". (because green beans make you taller)
